Welcome to Linda Bower Landbased Training
We are an organisation offering individually structured technical, practical and management training for land-based and related industries within Yorkshire and the Humber region. Training is planned locally around your own work schedule, and in small groups so specific needs are met. Training can be designed specifically for your business and delivered on site.
We provide a comprehensive range of quality courses for individuals and businesses working in agriculture, horticulture and forestry. The training offered is of a consistently high standard, as our instructors are fully qualified, have their own skills regularly updated and are specialists in their own field.
As a member of the Lantra Professional Register we offer Lantra certificated courses; these are mainly legislative courses, including Abrasive Wheels, ATVs, Brushcutters, Chainsaws and Fork Lift Trucks. NPTC certification is arranged for chainsaw and pesticide training. Please see the course programme for full details of availability.
We also provide training for the BASIS Certificate in Crop Protection, BASIS Advanced Cereals, BASIS Soil and Water, and FACTS. We are proud to say we now have several clients who have achieved their BASIS Diploma in Agronomy.
Meet the team!
Linda has worked within agriculture for all of her career; raised as a farmer’s daughter on a mixed farm near Sheriff Hutton, York, she went on to gain her NCA at Brackenhurst College, Nottingham. Upon leaving college Linda worked on the family farm for 10 years. Linda Bower Landbased Training was founded in 1998 which she solely ran until 2018 when her daughter Sarah joined the business; Sarah too is a farmer’s daughter.
Now we work as a close mother and daughter team where we strive to deliver a bespoke and high quality training service. Landbased Training is proud to say that we have delivered training to some very loyal companies and employers since we were established.
